1. Introduction

We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how Kettlebell EMOM Builder (“we”, “our”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services (“Service”).

We do not collect personal data such as names, email addresses, or account information through the app. We do store certain preferences and counters locally on your device to operate the free tier and remember your workout settings.

We use privacy-focused analytics (TelemetryDeck) in the app to understand usage patterns and improve the Service. This analytics service is designed with privacy in mind and does not track personal information.

On our website, we use Google Analytics to understand visitor behavior and improve our service. You can opt out of analytics tracking at any time through our cookie consent banner.

3. Data We Collect

a) Mobile App | On-device storage only

  • No personal accounts: We do not collect names, email addresses, or login details.
  • No remote workout storage: Workout data is not transmitted or stored on our servers.
  • On-device storage (Capacitor Preferences): We store the following information locally on your device to operate the App:
    • Workout configuration preferences such as selected muscle groups, number of rounds, and number of exercises.
      This data does not leave your device and is under your control. Clearing app data or reinstalling the App may reset this information.

b) Mobile App | Privacy-Focused Analytics (TelemetryDeck)

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how the app is used and improve the user experience.

What TelemetryDeck collects:

  • Usage events: App launches, workout generations, workout starts/completions, feature interactions
  • Anonymous user identifier: A randomly generated ID created on your device, cryptographically hashed before transmission
  • App version and build number: To identify which app version you’re using
  • Device information: Operating system version (automatically collected by TelemetryDeck)
  • Workout metadata: Number of rounds, exercises, and muscle groups selected (no actual exercise names or personal workout data)

Privacy features:

  • No personal data: We do not collect names, emails, IP addresses, or any personally identifiable information
  • Hashed identifiers: Your anonymous user ID is cryptographically hashed before leaving your device
  • GDPR compliant: TelemetryDeck is designed for GDPR compliance and does not use cookies or tracking pixels
  • No cross-site tracking: TelemetryDeck does not track you across other apps or websites
  • European servers: Data is stored on servers in the European Union (Germany)

Legal basis: Legitimate interest in improving the app and understanding how it’s used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you.

c) Website | Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on our website (kbemom.com) to understand how visitors use our site. This helps us improve the user experience and measure the effectiveness of our content.

What Google Analytics collects:

  • Page views and navigation: Which pages you visit and how you navigate our site
  • Referral sources: How you arrived at our website (e.g., from a search engine, social media, or direct visit)
  • Device and browser information: Type of device, browser, screen resolution, and operating system

This data is transmitted via FormSubmit.co and delivered to our email (contact@kbemom.com). We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry.

4. Use of Data

We use collected data to:

  • Understand how the app is used and identify areas for improvement (via TelemetryDeck)

  • Support inquiries: Email correspondence is retained as long as necessary to resolve your issue, typically up to 2 years.
  • Billing records (if applicable): Retained as required by law (typically 7-10 years in Austria).
  • On-device app data: Workout data and preferences saved locally on your device remain only on your device and are under your control.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights under GDPR:

  • Access to your data
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion of your data
  • Restriction or objection to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time (for cookies/analytics) | simply decline cookies in the banner or clear your browser’s cookies

9. International Transfers

Data collected via Google Analytics may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

App analytics via TelemetryDeck are stored within the European Union (Germany) and do not involve international data transfers.

For Google Analytics, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place:

  • Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework
  • We have implemented IP anonymization to reduce the personal nature of the data
  • Google provides Standard Contractual Clauses for data transfers

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
